Don’t let a lot of time go by after a sale before getting back in touch with your client. Communicating with your client does not mean that you have to be pushy but instead just send an email letting them know about a sale or a quick phone call to check in and see how they are doing.

2. BE HONEST

There can be an temptation to stretch the truth in order to make an extra dollar but instead, be honest with your customer. It sounds simple but people want to do business with a company they can trust. If you know that a lower priced item would be more beneficial for the customer, let them know.  They will appreciate that you are looking out for their best interest and trust you.

3. REWARD LOYALTY

Let your current customers know that you appreciate them by rewarding them for their loyalty. You can do this by implementing a rewards program, offering special discounts or sales for repeat customers, or asking them to refer other people for discounts on their next order.

4. GET TO KNOW YOUR CUSTOMERS

Many businesses know very little about their customers. Customers like to feel valued and what better way to do that than to take the time to get to know them. Find out about their family, their hobbies, what challenges they face. The more you know about them, the more you can tailor your product and services to meet their needs.

5. LISTEN 

When you are in communication with your clients, graciously listen to the good and the bad and take into account what your business can do to better serve them. Your customers keep your business going so not listening to a suggestion could result in losing a lifelong client.
