Setting Up Your Files:

Color Mode:

All files must be CMYK.

Margins:

1/8" (.125) minimum, set margins larger if possible. (All text and important design elements should be at least 1/8" from the finished edge of the piece.)

Bleed:

1/8" (.125) minimum to ensure that your design will still cover completely to the edge of the piece (no white paper stock showing) after cutting process. (PDF: Please save your pdf to include bleed, but do not add crop marks.)

Image Resolution:

300 dpi/ppi minimum resolution. Using resolution less than 300 dpi will result in reduced print quality.

Suggestion:

Flatten photoshop files with multiple layers to reduce file size and prevent font substitutions. SAVE A COPY OF THE ORIGINAL FILE BEFORE FLATTENING – you may want to go back to it and make changes later.

Illustrator .ai, .eps (Vector Art):

Convert all text to outlines. Embed all images and links.

Multiple Page Layouts:

Send files as separate pages, not spreads. Include bleed on all 4 edges of layout.
