Informed Delivery – Something New

Have you ever you ever wished there was a camera in your mail box? It’s here! And yes, there’s an app for that…

Just when you thought Facebook, Instagram and Snap-Chat are surely the prime candidates for the most pictures taken and posted online daily; not even close. In fact, taking and delivering approximately 410,000,000 new pictures every day, it’s the United States Postal Service.

To help our clients and colleagues gain insight into the benefits of Informed Delivery and learn how postal customers can get started using the program, let’s answer some quick questions about this exciting new platform offered by the United States Postal Service.

What is it? Informed Delivery provides eligible residential US Postal Service consumers with a digital preview of their household’s incoming mail scheduled to arrive soon. Users can view grey-scale images of the exterior, address side of incoming letter-sized mail pieces and track their packages in one convenient location via daily email, online dashboard or mobile app.

Who can use it? Where available, Informed Delivery is available to all residential postal customers with a limit of one user access per delivery address.

Is it expensive? Not at all. There is no cost to postal customers for this service. You can sign up for free at USPS.com and the app is free, available for iOS, Android, and Windows in your app store.

With Informed Delivery, you’ll know what’s coming anytime, anywhere. You’re in charge. Use your email, online or download the USPS Informed Delivery App to view incoming mail and track incoming packages anytime, anywhere on your smartphone, tablet or PC.
